Winter in Baltimore

Winter is Coming…

How can it be December 15th and still be 60 degrees? I’m finding it hard to get into the holiday spirit without the cold, snowy weather to set the scene. So, I know that blankets are the last thing on your mind but winter is coming (imagine your favorite Game of Thrones meme here). Temperatures are going to drop and January is going to be brutal; which is why we need your help to keep Baltimore warm.

We are collecting 1,000 new blankets by New Year’s Eve to distribute to disadvantaged families, veterans in need, and the homeless in Baltimore.

Blanket Baltimore Information

In one week, the Blanket Baltimore team will be at the Franciscan Center for their annual Christmas Lunch. We’ll be feeding 500 men, women, and children and handing out gift bags with toiletries, winter hats and gloves, and new blankets. There truly isn’t anything better than seeing the hope and gratitude in these families’ eyes. And watching the kids get excited about a blanket as a Christmas present will make even the hardest heart melt. If you have time, stop by. It will be the best thing you do all week. Tuesday, December 22 from 9:15am-2pm.

Even if you can’t donate your time then please consider donating a blanket. Blankets can be purchased online and shipped directly to the hotel (300 Light Street, Baltimore, MD 21202), they can be dropped off with our valet team or our front desk agents, or you can even book our blanket rate for your December rooms and we’ll donate one blanket in your name.

Please help us turn Charm City into Care City this winter.
